Snapchat is the most downloaded app for sharing images and it was the very first app that made the Snap feature available. This feature was so good that Instagram later adopted it as Story. Unlike Instagram, where images can be stored for years, Snapchat only stores them for 24 hours. This makes these images all the more precious since you know that they will soon be erased. People loved this app so much that by the end of 2021 it was downloaded by 327 million users, increasing its stock value by 350 percent in just one year.

The most prominent feature of this app is that if someone wants to save one of your snaps by taking a screenshot, you will be instantly notified. The app automatically detects when someone is taking a screenshot of the snaps and this feature cannot be turned off. Nonetheless, this doesn’t mean that it’s impossible to take a screenshot in secret.

By using screen recording which is part of the app itself or the one built into your phone, you can record your friend’s stories and then take screenshots of the recording itself. This will prevent them from ever knowing that you took these screenshots.

Using Google Assistant is another method that allows you to take screenshots in secret. Just say OK, Google, and ask the assistant to make a screenshot. Since you’re using an assistant, this action will not be noticed by the Snapchat app.

The final method is using an Airplane mode while taking screenshots. When you switch this mode on and your phone is completely cut off from the internet, you can easily take screenshots without notifying anyone.
