Arcane — the series based on the MOBA game LoL premiered on November 6. Let’s see which heroes and heroines have made it to the first screening.
As part of a massive event dedicated to the League of Legends, Netflix launched a new show based on the LoL’s universe. The premiere took place on November 6 on the streaming app, as well as on Twitch and Arcane’s official website.
So, which champions made it to the first Act? All in all, there were nine of those, appearing as either main characters or making a quick cameo:
- Vi.
- Jinx.
- Ekko.
- Ryze.
- Jayce.
- Caitlyn.
- Viktor.
- Singed.
- Heimerdinger.
It seems that Jinx is a key antiheroine of the entire series. At least that’s the impression you get from the first act. Over the course of episodes, we get to learn more about her past, including an interesting detail: her original name was Powder.
Viktor’s part tells us almost a Robocop story, which explains how a peace-loving man and scientist turned into a destruction machine. His duet with Jayce plays an important role as they both investigate what exactly drives the Hextech magic.
Surprisingly, Heimerdinger got a somewhat less important role, despite his popularity level among the players. At least, he’s a powerful figure in Piltover as he’s basically in charge of the city’s tech progress.
Ekko — the boy who shattered time — doesn’t reveal much about his background. But his story spills some important stuff related to Jinx’s life: they were childhood friends. Besides, there’s a rich leeway for his character to develop in the further two Acts.
Act II will premiere on Saturday, Nov. 13. This time, the only way to watch it is a Netflix subscription, which you can get free of charge for a month if you’ve never had it before.
Which LoL champions do you hope to see in the coming Acts? Let us know in the commentaries!
