As announced this morning, Apple Podcasts Subscriptions are already available in more than 170 countries. Newly represented podcasts subscriptions allow users to get such benefits as ad-free listening, early access to new episodes, exclusives or whatever else they are interested in. At the moment, Apple already offers thousands of subscriptions, but their number is going to be significantly increased.
The redesigned app should have been firstly launched in May, but due to some unknown delays it happened only in June. As a result of this, many claim that the audience of Spotify’s podcast listeners would exceed Apple's one in 2021, which can be something really revolutionary. However, Apple assures that this scenario is very unlikely.
Such famous names like Lemonada Media, Luminary and Realm are already on the list of this Apple app, just to name a few. In addition, the app has special podcasts for kids, such as GBH, Gen-Z Media, Pinna and others. A monthly price for subscriptions starts at $0.49 U.S. Nonetheless, the price for some popular shows and channels may be quite different, reaching even $4.99 per month.
